I'm again off for a visit to my old mother - and some friends - in Sweden. Should be back - and posting - again around March 4.

J'en ai fait des tours au Bon Marché avec ma Mère et ma Mémé. Cette dernière était couturière et achetait souvent du tissu, pour nous vêtir, faire des dessus de lits et plein d'autre choses.

Pourquoi faut-il toujours qu'on dise "old" mother. Il me semble que mes parents ont toujours été vieux, et lorsque je regarde les photos pourtant...
Celle-ci date : le sépia, la pose devant le porche avec l'escalier (quoiqu'on pose encore les photos de groupe), les coiffures les vêtements très simples. Un seul homme fait pour toute cette tribu. Une très belle photo de famille à chérir, des personnes jeunes pour toujours.
Occupe toi bien de ta maman.

Enjoy your time in Sweden Peter. Surely when you get home you'll find that spring has made nice progress. I agree it's about two weeks late on last year too. I remember taking photos of almond tree blossoms in February last year and there's none to be seen now...
And BTW your addendum post on "a few traces" was really worth doing. It is very moving.
