A short visit to Sweden

I referred in a previous post to a visit in Sweden (Göteborg, Gothenburg) to celebrate the 50th anniversary of my “studentexamen”.  The event took place. Some 20 classmates had met up for a nice meeting at our school , followed by a dinner. You can see some of the old gentlemen (no mixed classes those days) on the steps in front of the school, together with a slightly younger person, the head of the school.

I spent a few days visiting family and friends, with a little bit of travel through some central parts of Sweden (the dotted line on the map below), longing for better spring weather.

Wonderful photos of your reunion, and some of the countryside. The coastline looks beautiful - very much like ours in B.C.

Certaines de tes photos me font penser aux "chaussures Italiennes" d'Henning Mankell.

Very lovely photos of your friends and the countryside of beautiful Sweden. I loved the ice and snow photos especially, illustrating the changing season now...merci beaucoup!

Contrairement à Claude, je ne te reconnaissais pas sur la photo à cause de la barbe!! Il n'y a plus de neige contrairement au Nord du pays.

Bonjour Peter!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful pictures. How wonderful that you enjoy this trip and reunion ( you all are so elegant)!
The nature there is adorable, I love all shots and you did artistic and perfect compositions!
I see the weather is not so warm. Here in Lux the weather is awful.I think it's "November"again! :(
Maybe next week the weather will be better and I will go out for some "promenade"and take pictures around my place here.
hugs and a nice week,
Léia

Ni hade säkert roligt, men solen -var var hon?

Jag borde resa till Göteborg nån gång, min goda vän flyttade dit i fjol.

Well, you look quite young among the crowd of classmates, and how wonderful to be able to get together again so many years later. The scenery is gorgeous, and will be filled with green soon.

So glad you had this visit!

Your photographs are stunning. I have immediately become a fan of your work. I am a minor artist working in watercolours and oils and want to ask your permission to paint from some of your photographs.
Thank you and best wishes,

What lovely photos from Sweden. I often spend weekends and holidays in the south of Sweden with my family. It's so easy after the bridge has come.

Hi Peter! Today is a holiday in Portugal, but it’s the worst winter day we had since last October... As grey as if we were living in Northern Europe... So, the only right thing to do is surfing the Net... ;)

50 years... This year I'll make 40 out of the Uni... ;) Incredible...

Blogtrotter Two is now in St. Kitts and Nevis... Enjoy and have a great rest of the week!!!

hi peter! welcome back!
if i haven't seen the map below, i thought, Goteborg is near stockholm. ^0^
and finally, the 20 of you at the reunion! but why are you hiding in the back?! ^0^ kidding.

Goteborg is indeed quite a cozy place for retreat and relaxation.
certainly so different from city life.

ps: happy 50th. ^0^
