After all and at last, the leaves start to appear...

Referring to my previous, latest, post about the Belleville area, I felt that with the sudden arrival of spring, I must go back. So, here are a few more photos. How things have changed in a few days!

...and also some more inventive, decorative details…

… a little more of street art and tagging…

… a view of Rue Laurence Savart taken from the top by Willy Ronis in 1948 and from the lower end by me in 2013…

… not forgetting a few cats, of which one exceptionally seemed happy to pose.

I don’t know if I like the flower pictures or the cat pictures better – they all are good. Isn’t it true how quickly blooms and verdure come out when the sun is shining for a bit and the temperature s’adoucit? We went to a cabin in a state park in Georgia – there was a small azalea bush in front in buds only but 4 days later it was in full bloom.

I have never been in this part of Paris. Spring and sunshine are miraculous making that district a bit more joyful. This California girl would go crazy without sunshine.

What a difference a day makes! The color is glorious -- and so are the cats! I've seen wonderful books and calendars on the cats of Greece -- I think you should come up with the cats of Paris! They seem to pose for you! Oh, welcome, spring!

Bonjour Peter,

Happy spring to you, Peter! I love the kitty pictures as much as the beautiful trees, and the street comparison picture really provides a neighborhood perspective. x Katie

Dédé: Tu as raison! :-)

The green eyes of that cat are incredible!
You're so lucky to have your city's vegetation looking so promising!
In my part of the world we had icy rain yesterday and the trees are still naked.
Beautiful post, Peter.

WEll I commented on Facebook but while I"m here I'll add that the photos of Paris in springtime made me wish even more that I could be there when the weather is fine and the sun is shining.l

Meeps and I are thrilled that you are posting Paris chats now Peter! ;) The last one looks just like her even to the little white tuft of fur on her throat!
