Beach?

There are at present some beach activities in front of the Town Hall. This place is often used, transformed for temporary activities (see previous posts). Now, it’s time for beach volley. If you want to play – or watch – I think it’s unfortunately soon over.

I love how there is always something happening in Paris, and how the city officials are not afraid to use old, traditional spaces in new ways. This looks like a fun and summery twist!

Volley ball is a lovely game to watch!

What about the temperature of the sand?

The players look not only happy but...extremely fit...

Thanks for this, Peter.

When I visited Paris last October, our apartment directly overlooked the front of the "Town Hall"--a real ringside seat if there ever was one and great for making pictures from 3rd floor level. Not only did I find out that Michael Jackson was alive and well, but also got to see him perform (it was great). Also, I put my toe in the ring and danced with a big, burly guy and his boombox. Lastly, watched a group of topless women protesting (in very chilly weather) the use of fur for clothing, etc--one of the women fully pregnant. Ah, Paris! Now I've got to go back again!
