The winter
is not yet officially over, but so far it seems that in this part of Europe it will
be one of the warmest since at least 150 years. Here in Paris, we have not had
one day (or night) below the freezing point and no snow. (I know… the winter
has been extremely tough elsewhere on the planet.)
In the
beginning of this week we had some +15°C (60°F). I could not resist against a
walk again through “my” park.
The
magnolias were ready to bloom … and I found a first one.
A little
mixture of what I saw, as usual using my compact camera with automatic settings.

Yes, the spring
seems unofficially to be here! For good?

Gorgeous glimpses of spring. Thank you for proof the season really does exist! Oh, but we had a fabulous time in Paris last summer. *sighs at the memory*
Oh, Peter! I am so wild about this! I'm afraid we will never see spring here -- so much snow and tomorrow we head for New England where there is even more. This post is a site for sore eyes!
I saw you ha a visitor from DeWitt, MI -- that's very near us! Wonder if we know each other?!
Peter, these photos are delightful!!! Thank you so much for this taste of Spring.
wow spring has certainly sprung indeed - beautifully documented
Haha, I love the last photo of the pigeons! It looks like they are coversing! These photos are simply marvellous, and it's good to know that spring is just around the corner.
Vus de près, les boutons de fleurs ont une allure parfois étrange voire même un peu monstrueuse. Ceci dit, tes macros sont très réussies.
Your spring is ahead of ours in Georgia, and that is unusual – I have not seen buds on flowering trees yet, but we did have a couple of strong storms. I hope this fair weather will hold and we will have sun when we are in Paris this year. Love your photos.
Wow! Hard to believe you've had such a warm winter, and no snow. Hope that doesn't portend a summer of dreadful heat. Even with the severe cold in my locale (which hopefully killed a lot of bugs), the daffodils/jonquils and cherry trees are beginning to bloom. And just think ... Daylight Time is only a week away!
Stunning photos...as usual...
Cannot wait for the arrival of autumn here in Asunción.
The heat has been unbearable...46 degrees in the shade.
Thanks, Peter.
