"Clouds"

One morning last week, the only clouds over Paris seemed to have been created by airplanes.
Seeing this, I guess we must admit that air traffic controllers are useful.

Addendum, Jan. 3: It seems that I was not the only one watching the sky that morning. Nathalie, a wonderful blogger friend (Avignon in photos), visiting her mother’s country house some 40 km (25 miles) outside Paris made simultaneously the same observations. She posted about it today. Here you can compare our photos!
What I didn’t tell in my post was that an hour later, there was a heavy fog coming in. Nathalie took photos also of that!

If you want to follow what is worth seeing around Avignon and in Provence, Nathalie’s blog is certainly the one to follow… and if you go there, she's a marvelous person to meet!

C'est drôle, je me demande si c'était le 27 décembre. Ce matin-là j'ai fait une photo très similaire depuis le jardin de chez ma maman à 40 km de Paris !

Went to Town. Nostalgic?
I hope so, Peter. The present isn't worth remembering. The future has us either in Heaven or Hell. LOL

Your tracks in the sky
looking around up on high
makes me want to fly.

En tout cas ces traînées prouvent que le ciel était bleu...

I read a conspiracy theory once that speculated that those planes were dropping mind-altering chemicals.

Happy New Year, Peter.

What a beautiful winter sky with no real clouds.
It's amazing with all these air planes.

Peter, as for me, I wouldn't miss your blog or Nathalie's. You both do a wonderful job. I think it's great fun that your two posts came together at the same time! I say that when there are blue skies in Paris, it's a reason to celebrate!!!

Just love that you and Nathalie looked up at the sky at the same time. As I said on Nathalie's blog - there is no such thing as a coincidence. Loving the photos.

How funny that you were both looking skyward at the same time and your cameras were clicking simultaneously! You both were in the right place at the right time! How often does that happen????

i know this kind of sky peter, can't help looking at it either.
and yes, it can be pretty unpredictable, one minute you're enjoying the heat, the next, it's all foggy. ^0^

I do hope that you are ordering some of these gorgeous skies for next week, mon ami. However, I will take Paris in clear skies or not, rain, snow (yes!), windy, cold, hot... ah, certainly!

See you soon!

to Starman:
yes: the conspiracy calls those tracks "chemtrails". They are meant to protect the planet from overheating due to pollution, but they cause even more pollution in the air.
