(This is a
pre-programmed post – see explanation in previous post.)
As each
year, I try to give you a glance of what the department stores, Printemps
and Galéries Lafayette, Christmas show windows look like. So, it’s time again - as usual with a tight fight between the two neighbouring “rivals”. This year Printemps
has Dior and Galéries Lafayette Louis Vuitton as basic themes. Most of the
windows are for adults, but there are of course a few for the kids. What you
can’t see from my pictures is the fact that there are la ot of movements in many windows.

It looks like they have went with two very different styles this year - one cartoony and colourful, the other exotic and earthy. Interesting! I've definitely got to go and have a closer look!
Stunning window displays Peter ...
the "La Fayette" Christmas tree is gorgeous.
J'adore la magie de Noël. J'ai vu que sur les Champs Elysées, ils ont remis ces affreux anneaux bleus dans les arbres. Ils les auraient mis plus bhaut pour que ce soit plusss beau.
These windows are indeed magical "winter wonderlands". We have one department store in Melbourne, which is well known for its themed moving Christmas windows - for children. The preparations for the display take 12 months and the crowds form long queues in order to see them. Warm wishes
They are gorgeous window displays and really make me homesick for the beuatiful Christmas windows that would be done every year in San Francisco's Union Square. Thank you for showing these wonderful delights.
Cheers,
Stephan
ça donne une indigestion visuelle toute cette décoration non?
Gorgeous window displays! Looks like something straight out of a fairytale!
Only in Paris, and only you to capture the bright thrills of Christmas coming. Made me think of a line in a Dylan song... "for Halloween get her a trumpet, and at Christmastime buy her a drum..."
And I voted, with pleasure... will see if I can find some others...
Now how did I miss these glorious windows Peter? I love Paris in the CHristmas season. I know what you're thinking, "You love Paris in every season!" C'est vrai.

You know that I always anticipate the store window blog posts! This one dazzles and delights, but then why wouldn't it? It is pure and simple heaven!
