Chinese New Year

Some Paris streets were decorated already a couple of days ago in preparation of the Chinese New Year, January 31.

As each year, different processions take place also this year, last and coming weekends.

Here are some pictures from a procession which took place Sunday February 2, starting at the Paris City Hall and using some of the streets around the Marais area, under a blue sky and in front of large crowds.

What incredible photos, Peter -- the faces, particularly, are magnificent. And oh! The color! Indeed, this would be an event well worth attending. I can just feel the energy through this post. (When you put a pic on FB I thought "A post on this is coming and I can't wait!")

I've never been in Paris during the Chinese New Year. I would like to experience that some day.
