This year, with
kids and grandkids, we found our summer vacation home, isolated in the middle
of a UNESCO biosphere reserve, a national park, Montseny. On the map below, we
can see the location. We are in Spain, but rather in the centre of the
Catalonian region with its own language and culture, about an hour’s drive from
the French border, an hour’s drive from Barcelona, half an hour’s drive to the
coast line, Costa Brava … and some ten minutes’ drive to the nearest civilisation.
The house
was really nice. We had some beautiful sunny summer days, however also a few
days with thunderstorms and rain.
We took the
opportunity to visit Barcelona, Gerona, Figueras and the the nearby beaches. I
will revert on more detailed reports on Barcelona and Figueras (and Salvador
Dali). Here are in the meantime some pictures from Gerona – a partly rainy day…
… and from
Costa Brava - a sunny day.

Your vacation spot looks like heaven. And even in the rain, Gerona looks beautiful.
Looks absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for the photos.
I am amazed that year after year you and your family seem to find the most idyllic locations for your summer trips. What beautiful photos. I"m waiting for images from the Familia Sagrada!
Not too far from where we were but we chose not to drive while we were there... :-)
¡Que hermoso articulo!
Igualmente los niños, la casa, las fotos, el pais...todo...todo...
Welcome back, M. Peter!
Maria
What an idyllic spot! Looking forward to seeing more.
