Patrick did it again!

Yes, my son Patrick did it (again)! He finished the Paris Marathon yesterday.

There were some 54.000 participants, some 40.000 arrived “in time”. Patrick made it and about 3h.40 on an about 10.000th place. Of course the winner, the Kenyan Korir, did it in about 2h.05. A real challenge for next year!

I wasn’t present at the departure on the Champs Elysées...

... but, with family, at the arrival Avenue Foch. We waited a bit...

... and then…

After arrival there are refreshments, something to eat (and medical care if needed)... and Patrick even got a massage!

He participated in favour of the association “Laurette Fugain”, fighting against leukemia.

In Paraguay, the word joven=young man.
El joven Olson is how we would refer to him.
And yes...he's young...and beautiful...
¡Felicitaciones tambien a su papa!

I'm a big sport photography fan, so enjoyed this immensely. Well done to your son too, for entering let alone finishing.

Félicitations à Patrick. Je dis qu'il faut le faire et quand on le fait pour une association comme celle de Laurette Fugain, c'est encore plus admirable.
Bravo à lui !
En plus, il fait la fierté de son Papa.

Congratulations to Patrick! And what a worthy cause to be running for -- the fight against leukemia.

Three cheers for Patrick! I think a marathon must be excruciating and so hard on the body and I really admire his training and strength/ability to do that run. And to do it for a cause like leukemia really warms my heart. It makes the race all the sweeter.
