I don’t know
when the Paris parks and gardens are the most beautiful… spring, autumn? Summer
is not bad either and what about winter? Anyhow, I could not resist against taking
and showing some autumn shots from the Jardins des Champs Elysées. We are in
the lower part of the Champs Elysées, the green part, originally created during the 17th
century by André Le Nôtre (Versailles, Fontainebleau, Chantilly, Tuileries,
Saint Cloud, Saint Germain…). I made a post about this garden some five years
ago (see here) and will not repeat all the details about its history here,
about the different buildings, statues, fountains, the multitude of different
trees and other species...
So here is
just a little selection of photos. It was a warm and sunny day.
You can find
a number of other posts about the Champs Elysées here.

Oh, the soft light and the vivid colours of autumn!
(I'm sorry I haven't left a comment in a very long time - moving to London and spending the first month here without internet has mad eit difficult to keep up with my favourite blogs! I hope to be better in the future, now that things have settled a bit.)
Thanks for these lovely, autumnal images! I wish you a great week, Peter!
These are such beautiful scenes, Peter! Thank you for theses photos. I would find it difficult to decided when Paris is her most beautiful :)

Thank you for the gorgeous colours, I shall miss them this year as I am not coming over until December. I love all the seasons, each has its own claim.
Thank you again for 'feeding my habit' - Paris!!!!
So lovely Peter, maybe my next visit will be in the fall!
Lovely time of the year for those trees!
Thanks for sharing it with us.
