Mid-month theme – subways

The 15th of each month is the day for the mid-month theme – “subways”, which I share with bloggers from NYC, Stockholm and Budapest. You can find today’s posts and some other related posts by using the following links:

New York City Daily Blog - Stockholm by pixelsBudapest by Andrea GerakPeter’s Paris

(As I rather recently have changed blog, you can find some older subway posts under the following link: PHO.)

This view is of an express subway train, coming from Versailles, just before it reaches the Paris underground. It’s taken close to the Seine River. I was surprised to find all these wild flowers. (Photo taken some three weeks ago.)

I made a second post today.

I liked subways wherever I went including Paris.

I also visit the site mentioned by you, a treat for the eye. In India we don't have many subways. The best one I showed you on my travel blog.

The rainy weather has blessed us with a good show of wild flowers this year: this plus the revived appreciation of their importance. I was out yesterday snapping a similar scene...........not a railway, but masses of daisies and poppies.

The wild flowers are the focal point in this photo. :-)

Hope you were standing safely on the side of a street when you took this photo.

Express trains are something I'd like to have in Stockholm as well. Here every train stops at every open station every time.

Happy Subway Day, Peter!

Tu as été prolifique!

Nice shot Peter! The greenery area with wild flowers make the shot outstanding.

How was your celebration of the French national day?

The flowers are a nice contrast to the crude graffiti on the wall opposite. It makes a nice photograph.

Nature's view of an urban scene, how nice.

okay this gave me an idea

this short poem is dedicated to this posting

Wild Flowers and The Subway Train
by Azer Mantessa

I am those wild flowers
waving to the passing train
Hoping for a woman's smile
through that window pain

I am those wild flowers
only few notice me
Longing for a woman
into my wild fantasy

The End

One day you will have them also!

ash:
Yes, it makes me also happy to see these wild flowers!

marie-noyale:
