A temporary garden

Since the mid of June until August 17, you can find a temporary garden in front of the Paris Town Hall. There is even a pond!

The Town Hall as such is an impressive building. The interior was completely destroyed in 1871 by a fire set by some participants of the “Commune”. So, if the interior then had to be completely rebuilt, the walls are basically from the 16th century.
I will let the decorations and the flags on the front of Town Hall serve as an illustration for July 14, the French National Holiday!

Strange to see a garden there, at this place. I know how it normally looks like. There are a lot of places in all towns where gardens would be a nice idea.
Do you say any wishes to each other on July 14th? Have a nice holiday. I bet you are going outside. There will be a lot to photograph today, I think.

Le jardin provisoire est beau. Combien de temps sera-t-il devant hôtel de ville ?

Hello, défilé ou feu d'artifice aujourd'hui ? Tu es bien capable de nous faire les deux.

That is CRAZY! How many times I've crossed that walkway, and to see it with this park, water, is surreal. Only in Paris! (thinking of beaches on the Seine.)

Quel dommage que ce jardin ne soit que provisoire, cela change totalement l'aspect de la place !
