Salsa

I already made a few posts on the Parc de Belleville, a rather recent park, hardly visited by tourists, but offering a very good view of Paris. When I passed the other day (May 22), there was a great dance event going on, salsa. Of course you have a moment of hesitation; should you start moving around also? I decided to just take some photos.
I wish you a nice weekend!

Peter

I love to do the Salsa dance learned it years ago when I lived in New York.... My favorite dance is the Tango, though the movement is magical.

Love the photo's,,, and love the photos from the Tango post you did too.

With all the picture taking I hope you got to dance some too.
It looked like a whole lot of fun.

Good question, and I think I would only take pictures and go on! :) I'm shy...but they look so happy, having lots of fun, cool energy, but In fact it is not my "kind"of music... :(
But it's cool that they like it and enjoy their time...
Beautiful sunny day there!I bet this time of the year, Paris is crowded of tourists.

hugs

There's always something going on in Belleville!

I tried the Salsa once, but I don't have any Latin rhythm in my blood! It's nice to look at though...

C'était sans doute une réunion virtuelle. Tu aurais du danser! Mais peut-être l'as-tu fait après les photos.

You should have done some salsa, Peter ;o) but I'm glad you took these wonderful photos; I can almost hear the music.
I love the Belleville area, and I have been to this park a lot since one of my favourite restaurants-cafés are right next to it: "Le Vieux Belleville", 12 rue des Envierges.
It's a wonderful place where you meet real parisiens from this neighbourhood and there's chansons.
It shall be experienced both at lunch time and in the evening. I love it there and I love the park as well.

Oh Peter, I"m sure you had a grand time photographing , but I'm guessing you didn't join in!! You captured the moment so well.

I'm still hoping to see the tango dancers again this visit. I think we will just enjoy with our cameras, n'est-ce pas?

It must have been a fun event. I wrote a longer comment yesterday but somehow it must not have taken to your post.

I will never forget jumping into a Paris cab and hearing SALSA!
Who knew it was big in Paris?
Like another time hearing The Beetles in a taxi in Jerusalem...

Ahhh, the sense of movement you captured here -- wonderful! This was quite a gathering of people at the Parc de Belleville. I'm glad you happened on this -- it is quite a sight!

Un homme aux bras croisés dans l'assemblée n'a pas le sourire.....
Sauras-tu le retrouver et deviner pourquoi ?

Réponse : il surveille sa femme.
