A break in blogging again...

I’m off again, for a rather long trip. I’m going by the Transsiberian / Transmongolian train all the way from Saint Petersburg to Beijing via Moscow, Ekaterinenburg, Irkutsk (the Baïkal Lake), Uulan Bator (a longer stay in Mongolia). I will be away the whole month of September  - and will not be blogging, sorry! I hope to have something to report when I'm back!

Excellent! I remember discussing this with you, and how expectant your eyes became. Shame you are not taking us with you, but understandably easier for you.

Looking forward to your impressions. Enjoy!!

Peter,
I am so glad you are getting to make this trip that, if my memory serves, you've talked about for many years. I look forward to your wonderful photographs and... when we meet again in Paris, hearing all about your grand adventure.
Bon voyage,
V

Hi Peter, so you are actually doing it ! That's fantastic !!! Are you sure you don't need to hire just one extra photographer to come along, to make sure no detail goes un-photographed ? I work very cheap, very cheap indeed... and can be quite discreet if need be... :-)

All kidding aside, I wish you a wonderful trip, and hope they will let you off the train once in a while to go see the countryside... can't wait to see your reports...

Wow - I read about the Transsiberian railway in a long New Yorker article. It looked very interesting (but demanding)
Hope you have an interesting time. (and make it back)
