So, I’m
back from too short holidays with kids and grandkids in Italy.
I’m not an
estate agent, but the residence we had rented was so nice that I believe I have
to do some publicity.
We stayed
in a house, north east of Rome, in the Sabina area, in the Lazio region. Rome
can be reached by car or train in about an hour. Renting in this area is far cheaper than e.g. in Tuscany, which actually is only about two hours away. The region is beautiful with gently sloping hills covered by vineyards and
olive trees and with a number of charming villages. You hardly meat any tourists. We were lucky to have blue
sky and real summer temperatures every day. We did of course visit Rome and
some other places in the surroundings, but let me first talk about the residence.
Four double
bedrooms and in general a lot of space, several living rooms, a large dining
room, a big perfectly equipped kitchen… all elegantly decorated and a superb
swimming pool with a pool house – with accommodation for two more people if
needed. The house was cleaned three times a week, the swimming pool every day. If
you have some questions or need some advice, the charming landlady / owner, Paola, who
spends her summer in a neighbour house, takes care of everything. If you are
interested, I suggest you contact her: p.rampone@gmail.com.
(+3373399065) We enjoyed every day and moment.

What a lovely place! It must have been so hard for all of you to come back to "reality".
Beautiful house, surroundings and photos!
And that full moon stealing the show...
Thank you Peter.

Well I can see you all found yet another piece of paradise again this year. WOW! I don't know how you could drag yourself back to Paris. It's tough being Peter! :)

And I see the kids are growing up fast just like Eva and Davis!!!
Oh Peter, what a fabulous place. I hope it didn't break the bank. But wow, it was worth it!
I wonder if they would do an even trade with a certain 5-acre farm in Michigan . . .
;-)
My goodness Peter! Did you even want to leave the house to go to Rome once you had dipped your feet in that gorgeous pool? Thank you for sharing that special place with us. This looks like a great family vacation, with enough room for everyone to stretch their legs and enjoy themselves. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)
Hello Peter.
What a beautiful place! I'd love to spend a few months there. My wife and I are planning to go to Italy next year but this is way too big for just the two of us but for a family it's perfect. I look forward to seeing more of your photos from Italy.
What a perfect vacation home! The views from the house are lovely and the nearness of Rome – quel excellent endroit pour se reposer et aussi vagabonder dans la région.
It looks like it has everything the heart desires! It's beautiful and beautifully decorated and maintained. Bet it was hard to leave.
c'est magnifique, tu as trouve le paradis
Et ben ! On ne se refuse rien !
C'est très chouette cet endroit. Moi, je serais toi, je serais restée plus longtemps !!!
OMG! That has been a paradise, a pink villa, absolutely fabulous!
Ce n'est pas une maison pour les vacances, c'est une maison pour toute l'année.
The house looks fantastic in a fantastic area! It also appears everyone enjoyed being there.
Oh, Peter, you must have felt you had died and gone to Heaven! What an absolutely wonderful place to stay. I must keep this post as a reference, in case I ever get to Italy again. :)
Looks perfect, I'll add that to my list for future breaks. Off on a short break to Portugal tomorrow. Donit imagine our hotel will compare with this place.
What an amazing place to stay! It looks so lovely and seems like everyone had a good time in it too.
Je ne pense pas que l'on pourrait faire une meilleure publicité!
