Continued rest

Since a week or so, suffering from a flu (despite being vaccinated), now basically over, I have somehow not felt the force to work with my blog. However, my sense of duty – posting twice weekly – pushes me to do something. Once more, my walks didn’t bring me further than to “my” park. I sat down on a bench and admired the birds, especially the ones, completely relaxed, sleeping on one leg.

Your park is looking splendid, Peter.

Do not let your "sense of duty" overcome your innate common-sense ...

Photo # 1
Maybe he/she is hiding his/her head in embarrassement?
Failed to complete that exercise in first position because he/she has had the flu too?
You know...ballet is not for the faint of heart.....

Your park looks beautiful! I love it!
Thanks for your incomparable photography.
Glad to know you're better!

I love seeing birds resting on one foot like that!

Well, I must say, Peter, that if your bird photos were taken today, I'm glad you're getting out -- and it's clear that spring in Paris is a LOT closer to reality than spring in Michigan!

Please take care of yourself and get well soon. That flu is an ugly business.

It's good to hear that you are better! My goodness, birds are fascinating - I must confess that I've never noticed them sleeping on one leg. What a sense of balance they must have!

Nul ne sait pour quelles raisons de nombreux oiseaux dorment debout en repliant un pied...à part les farceurs qui disent que s'ils repliaient les deux, ils tomberaient.

Nice to hear you're feeling better. Flu no fun. It's 14F degrees in my neck of the woods this morning, and the birds are out for breakfast as usual. I often wonder why those little tiny legs, with no feather protection, don't just freeze and break off. It's keeping me busy supplying them with seed and suet. Would much rather be in the warmer weather in Paris.

Pour soigner la grippe, rien ne vaut la méthode écossaise : une bouteille de whisky le soir (sans glace) et au lit !
Meilleure santé !

Glad you're a bit better—but don't do too much too soon. It looks like spring there (and we're expecting yet more snow)!

Hello Peter. Happy to read you are feeling a little bit better now. I do know that friends here have been hit with the flu too, despite the jab too. They say it is the "strain" of the virus. ..Don't do to much too quickly ..you will be out and about very soon. Take care . Anne.

Peter, I hope you are well over the flu! I am glad you were able to get outside to "your" park. It looks larger than I imagined it to be. And these photos of the birds and flowers opening are delightful. Thank you, Peter!
