I realize it does not help to hear this, but I think Paris still looks splendid in the snow :)

Peter, I feel your pain!!

I've had it with snow as well. It's about the same on this side of the English Channel. To top it off, our central heating system decided to go on strike this week. Brrrrr :(

My thoughts exacly!!!
Today we have a polar front wind that is simply horrible!
Funny enough I thought it reminds me of parisian cold! LOL!
(I never felt so cold in my life as when I was there!)
Have a nice (and warmer) weekend!
:)

The top photo is like a beautiful painting. I am not tired of it yet, which is good, because we just got a lot!

Adam said...

Quick - go out now! There's blue sky and sun, but it's still brass monkeys!

Catherine said...

Enough !? Enough !
Tu as l'oeil d'un poête Peter.

Lovely snowy photos. I think we all have tired of winter and anxiously await spring. sigh, spring is a long time from now. But the footprints in the snow photo makes me smile.

Simony said...

I may be crazy but I loved the bird's foot prints. I see poetry in your photos. Just like the birds, we are all anxious searching for better days, Spring and sunshine. It won't be long for them to come.
Take care!

Cheryl said...

The bird photo really is nice. But eh top photo conveys the misery of too many cold days. Not that I myself wouldn't mind experiencing that miserable snow...

Maya said...

I agree! But, it makes for nice photos like these...

That's what we're saying in Washington, DC metro area too...I've not been home in a week--no heat/power.

Spring is soon...

Oh yes, the cold makes me feel dull and dreary and I long for the warm comfort of sunlight!

I missed a number of your previous posts until now and must say your daughter is a good photographer too!

Do convey my appreciation to her!

Hello dear Peter!

We are going to travel for some days, but I think we will see much more snow there! :) pictures surprise soon!
Have a great holiday,

LOVE your snow and cold weather's photos! And LOVE also the view from your window!

Here it's a very hot summer with storms at the end of the day... sometimes in the middle of the day like just now...

Have a nice weekend.

Lovely photos! I really like the bird tracks!

I have an old photo of myself pulling a sled though the snow near Paris. We lived there for several years when I was a small child, and I loved it when it snowed. (I've gotten over that.)

agree, too much snow isn't nice anymore... do hope the weather gets better. if you're experiencing too much of it, in here, it's too hot, i think we're more or less having "el nino". ^0^

Jilly said...

Oh yes, ADORE that top photo, Peter. Happy Valentine's Day!

B Alescio said...

Yes, there's snow and it's cold, but how else would you take such a beautiful photo as this first picture.

James said...

Well at least you got a nice picture with a great reflection in it. :)

Medium temperatures are perhaps the best? But, despite my Nordic origins, I believe I prefer a little bit too hot to too cold! :-)

You have to be on the street poor over here to get any kind of free health care and that is what we want changed. I for one would think the government should take over the system and make it like our medicare.

I admire your country and others for the lead they have taken in health care.

Thanks a bunch for visiting my Brookville Daily Photo and for the comment. Sometimes I don't know what to post each day but it is usually something that I just took a picture of that caught my eye. This post is like that. I was experimenting with shutter speed and aperature to see if I could stop motion and it seemed to work in this photo you saw.

I always enjoy coming here.

Still I'd rather be cold in Paris than anywhere else.

Enough ?
