Some more street art

Some more street art examples, photos taken here and there, now and then, and which I believe I have not already published.

Let’s first remember that this type of art is often ephemeral. Here are first two photos of the same wall, taken with a few weeks’ interval.

Some people are not too happy to see some blind walls covered like this. Let’s then remember that today it’s mostly done with the approval by people who live there and often is supported by local authorities…. and that a few decades ago these walls were already covered – by publicity.

I never cease to find this fascinating -- particularly the ephemeral nature of it. I don't remember if you saw my post about Rick's son's art -- he works in chalk, and that's seriously ephemeral -- one smudge and it's messed up! (At least you have to WORK to paint over a wall!). I admire the fact that people are just out there, making art, taking the chance it will last long enough to be seen by someone.

I disagree that art is an imposition. And I sometimes am overwhelmed by the talent of these people!

These are wonderful, Peter! I especially like the tall stark tree with the bird's nest on top.

Gros bisous

This is quite an array of street art. Every so often some of these pieces last a while. I actually recognize some of these pieces and it's been more than a year since I was in Paris. The amount of talent your photos show us is staggering. Thanks for the exhibition.
