Time again – for the tenth
time - for what has now become a tradition on this blog, to look at the
Christmas display windows of ”Galeries Lafayette” and ”Printemps”…
… including the famous, always
changing, tree under the “Galeries Lafayette” cupola.
You can find pictures from the
preceding years here: 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.
Most of the windows are made for kids...

In one of the windows, I can spy the Belle Vivier pumps featuring the emblematic square metal buckle by Roger Vivier, launched in the fall of 1965.
Catherine Deneuve wears the Belle Vivier in Luis Buñuel's 1967 movie "Belle de Jour".
Fantastic photos, Peter! Thank you so much.
Next year I'll have to come to Paris one month later. These just dazzle me!
Thank you so much for sharing these photos. Even if the displays are aimed at children we love them so much. Really appreciate seeing them as we can't make it over this year... maybe next year...Brexit willing!!

Wonderful shop windows, full of colour and texture and shapes and light, I would love to see these in person. And of course, then I could go into these marvellous shops and spend all my money!
