Extra post

Normally I made a last post yesterday, before leaving for a good week. However, I just could not avoid taking some pictures from “my” park yesterday, a very nice spring day, and I thought I should share them with you. So, here they are! Pigeons are not loved by everybody, but those in this park are quite nice – and clean! I found the tree where they like to hide. (… except a couple in love.) There are so many types of ducks etc… around. There were some newly born babies on the lawn. I don’t know which colours they will take later. So once more! See you later, probably around May 5th!

You are leaving us with a symphony of colors! And what array of wildlife! (Just use caution when sitting under the "pigeon tree" ;-))
Enjoy your trip, Peter. I'll drop by after May 5th, to say a proper goodbye...

The world is sadly sick, they say,
And plagued by woe and pain.
But look! How looms my garden gay,
With blooms in golden reign!
With lyric music in the air,
Of joy fulfilled in song,
I can't believe that anywhere
Is hate and harm and wrong.

Bleeding hearts, pansies, ducks, pigeons, right in the middle of the city. You have to love the parks in Paris. Enjoy your time away!

Hi Peter! Thanks for having been so kind to comment on Blogtrotter while I was absent! I’m back and trying to catch up with your posts!
First, late congratulations for your birthday. Like we say here «Wish you enjoy a lot and that I'll see...»!
Your park is looking gorgeous and the pictures are great. Even the pigeons plague looks nice... ;)Always shooting with the Canon G7?
The area near La Nation finally got someone to make it shine. Usually people think of the area only for the «manifs» (of the «left», of course, since the «right» usually goes to the Triumph Arch and the Champs Elysées), but it has also something else to show... Great job as usualy! And you even found «pain anglais», the «Polisseur» and the «Centre D'Art Géometrique». Amazing...
The Printems sky is magnificent; you're coming closer to the Grand Hotel, my area... And the last of the Belleville series is amazing, with Ben's work!
Hope you have a great Sunday, a better week or, even better, a great Swedish fortnight!!
See you back soon!
Gil

PS: Lakatos played it all: incredible!

Tu sais que ces belles fleurs de ta première photo ce sont "des coeurs de Marie"? j'en ai de superbes touffes dans mon jardin, je pourrais t'en donner un pied ça ne gèle pas.

Oh, I'm here and you are away. I hope you are spending some nice days. Your photos look very much like spring in Paris.

See you when you get home !
